カヌー艇庫に続く美郷町の第2弾プロジェクト。文化情報の発信・地域経済振興・子育て支援の3機能を統合した地域複合施設として計画されている。500㎡の屋内遊戯スペースを備え、美郷町の新たな中心として機能する拠点施設として、2027年の竣工を目指す。
The second major project for Misato, following the Canoe Boathouse. A community hub integrating three functions — cultural information, regional economic activity, and support for families with young children — including a 500㎡ indoor play space. Designed to become the new center of town life in Misato, the building is planned for completion in 2027.
カヌー艇庫がまちの外縁に名所を生み出したのに対し、本施設はまちの中心に位置する。

島根県美郷町の中心部に計画される地域複合施設。2024年に竣工したカヌー艇庫がまちの外縁に新たな名所を生み出したのに対し、本施設はまちの中心に位置し、日常的な活動の核となることを目指す。文化情報の発信を担いながら、地域経済の振興を促し、さらに500㎡の屋内遊戯スペースを備えることで、子育て世代に寄り添う機能を充実させる。
Where the Canoe Boathouse brought a landmark to the edge of town, this facility is conceived as its complement at the center — a building that anchors the rhythms of daily life in Misato. Three programs are brought under one roof: cultural information and exhibition, spaces that support local economic activity, and a 500㎡ indoor play area designed with families in mind. Together, they constitute the core of a renewed town center.
RC2階建てを基本とし、屋根部分には木造を採用することで、コンクリートの堅牢さと木のあたたかさが共存する空間をつくり出す。カヌー艇庫で培ったバリの哲学「トリ・ヒタ・カラナ」——人・自然・神の調和——の思想を継承しながら、美郷町の次の章を担う施設として計画が進んでいる。（2027年竣工予定）
A reinforced concrete structure at two stories carries a timber roof above, bringing the warmth of wood into dialogue with the permanence of the frame below. The project continues the studio's ongoing relationship with Misato and carries forward the spirit of Balinese philosophy — the harmony of people, nature, and the divine — that guided the design of the Canoe Boathouse. Planned for completion in 2027.
