鹿沼市の花「さつき」の花姿をモチーフに、鹿沼組子を想起させる木組みで構成した立体トラスが、光と影を織り込みながら軽やかな大屋根を支える。市産材を全面活用した木造平屋のイベントスペースは、地域の林業・伝統工芸・花木産業の循環を体現する拠点として計画されている。（2027年竣工予定）
The azalea — the town flower of Kanuma — inspires a three-dimensional timber truss that recalls the intricate joinery of traditional Kanuma kumiko woodwork. Woven through with light and shadow, this lightweight roof covers a single-story event space built entirely from locally sourced timber. The building is conceived as a place where the region's forestry, craftsmanship, and flowering plant industries converge. Planned for completion in 2027.

栃木県鹿沼市は、日本三大組子のひとつ「鹿沼組子」に代表される精緻な木工技術と、全国有数の花木産地としての歴史を持つ。本施設は、その地域資源を建築として結実させることを主題とした。市の花であるさつきの花姿——放射状に広がる花びらの輪郭——を大屋根のかたちに見立て、鹿沼組子の複雑な木組みのパターンを立体トラスの構成原理に重ねた。
Kanuma is home to two of Japan's most celebrated craft traditions: kumiko woodworking — one of the country's three great joinery styles — and a flourishing flowering plant industry that has shaped the town's economy and landscape for generations. This building is designed as an encounter between those two inheritances. The form of the azalea — its petals radiating outward from the center — becomes the governing geometry of the roof, while the patterns of kumiko joinery are reinterpreted as the three-dimensional logic of the timber truss system.
市産材を全面活用した木造平屋の架構は、光と影を織り込みながら軽やかな屋根面を実現する。建物全体を地域産業の循環を可視化する装置として設計し、訪れる人々が木の産業・文化・美しさを同時に体験できる場所を目指している。（2027年竣工予定）
Built entirely from locally sourced timber, the single-story structure resolves into a roof that holds light and shadow together, shifting as the sun moves. The building is conceived as a demonstration of the region's forestry cycle made visible — a place where the material, the craft, and the landscape that produced them are experienced at once. Planned for completion in 2027.
